Sevilla is a city that lingers in the memory. The historic heart of Andalusia, it weaves together more than a thousand years of Moorish and Christian heritage - from the soaring Gothic Cathedral and its Giralda bell tower to the Mudéjar courtyards of the Real Alcázar, recognized together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Orange trees line its plazas, flamenco drifts from its old quarters, and the Guadalquivir runs quietly through it all. Warm, unhurried, and endlessly atmospheric, it's a city that rewards every wander.
A few minutes' walk from the Cathedral and the lively squares of the old town, the Radisson Collection Hotel, Magdalena Plaza Sevilla is a calm, refined retreat in the very heart of the city. Set on the palm-lined, pedestrian Plaza de la Magdalena, this five-star hotel - the first Radisson Collection in Spain - occupies a beautifully restored historic building whose design draws on Seville's own mix of styles: intricate latticework, warm earth tones, bronze and marble finishes, and walls hung with black-and-white photographs of the city. A rooftop pool and bar look out over the skyline, and its restaurants carry a Michelin pedigree. The square was once home to the Hotel Paris, the fashionable place to be seen in late-nineteenth-century Seville - and the hotel's restoration set out, quite deliberately, to bring some of that lost glamour back.
How to Get to the Radisson Collection Hotel, Magdalena Plaza Sevilla
The Radisson Collection Hotel, Magdalena Plaza Sevilla sits in the historic heart of Seville, on the pedestrian Plaza de la Magdalena, and is easily reached by several means of transport. Here's how to reach us from the airport, the main stations, and around the city centre.
From Seville Airport (SVQ):
Seville's San Pablo Airport lies about 10-14 km northeast of the city, a 20-25 minute drive in normal traffic. There is no direct train or from the airport, so your options are:
Taxi: Licensed taxis (white with a yellow stripe) wait directly outside arrivals and charge a fixed, regulated fare - roughly €23-25 during the day, and around €31-35 at night, on weekends, and on holidays. The ride takes about 20-25 minutes.
Ride-hailing (Uber / Cabify): Uber and Cabify both operate in Seville and offer airport pickup, often slightly cheaper than a taxi -typically €20-30 depending on demand. Book through the app on arrival.
Private transfer: For added convenience, arrange a private transfer in advance; your driver meets you at arrivals and takes you straight to the hotel for a fixed rate.
Airport bus (Línea EA): The "Especial Aeropuerto" bus is the budget option at around €4–5. It runs every 25-30 minutes from early morning until after midnight, takes roughly 35 minutes, and terminates at Plaza de Armas bus station, stopping at Santa Justa train station en route - Plaza de Armas is a 7-minute walk from the hotel.
From Santa Justa Train Station:
Seville's main rail station - and the arrival point for AVE high-speed trains from Madrid and beyond - is a short distance from the hotel. A taxi or ride-hailing trip takes about 10 minutes; on foot it's roughly a 25-minute walk if you're travelling light.
From Plaza de Armas Bus Station:
If you arrive by intercity or regional coach, you're almost there - Plaza de Armas is about a 7-minute walk (0.6 km) from the hotel.
Around the Historic Centre:
The hotel's greatest advantage is that almost everything is on foot. The Cathedral and Giralda are an 8–10 minute walk and the Real Alcázar about 12 minutes, with the shops, tapas bars, and squares of the old town all around you. You won't need transport for the seminar or for exploring.
By Car:
Please note: the hotel sits on a pedestrianised square and has no on-site parking. Seville's historic centre is largely closed to through traffic, so we would recommend arriving without a car if you can. If you do drive, there are public parking garages nearby, though they can fill up and aren't cheap - the hotel can advise on the closest and on access to the square for drop-off. Given how walkable the centre is, most attendees won't need a car at all.
Nearby Accommodations
Because the seminar venue sits in the heart of Seville's historic centre, you have a wide choice of places to stay within easy walking distance. From five-star hotels and boutique stays to guesthouses and apartments, the surrounding old town offers options to suit every taste and budget. We'd encourage you to explore the area and choose whatever best fits your needs - wherever you stay in the centre, you'll be only minutes from both the seminar and Seville's main sights.
